MEN OF BASS
Professional Bass Fishing Team
"Hook up and hold on"
Patrick Yates first started fishing at the age of 11. Since that time, he has been intrigued by the excitement and challenge of fishing. His experiences range from bank fishing for catfish, to using his own boat to chase big bass ! He credits his experience to his dad and grandfather. Grandpa Wilson always made time to take him fishing. The weekends are a special time for him and his family to fish together and learn the joy of the sport. This allows Patrick to teach others about protecting our environment as well as remind them how special the pastime of fishing really is.
Patrick currently serves as an Intelligence Analyst in the United States Army. He has completed four tours of duty in Iraq over the past six years. Serving his country has prevented a full tournament schedule but he has had opportunities while on R&R to demonstrate his fishing prowess on the circuit.
Patrick has fished the American Bass Angler Tour and will be competing on the ESPN Bassmaster series also in 2011. His transfer to Leavenworth, KS will give him more opportunity to fish competitively. Look out folks, he’s coming in 2011!
